Principal, Colin Marchant, has been working in the landscape and horticulture industry since 1985 and has been at the helm of Costata Landscape Design for the past 30 years.

Drawing on his experience, design and communication skills, he has grown a local lawn and garden maintenance run to the national award-winning landscape design and management business it is today.

Throughout, Colin has adhered to his core philosophy of “Concept to Completion”. Ensuring that the person who provides the original design inspiration is responsible and accountable for maintaining the integrity of the design as it passes through the construction process.

As managing partner Lisette brings to Costata, skills and experience in the construction industry that has spanned over 35 years. A career as a successful interior designer working in commercial fitout and project management for 20 years then became 10 years in civil engineering working with large road and tunnelling infrastructure projects in Sydney and the Hunter. In 2016 Lisette joined Costata Landscape Design as full-time managing partner.

Lisette is also a qualified Building Designer and applies these skills to new projects that require built elements and construction experience. Working with husband Colin they form an experienced team which addresses all aspects of new landscapes.

Julie is office manager at Costata organising our business administration and supporting each project. Julie adds her invaluable support and business experience to the running of Costata.

Artist Laurie McIntyre brings a lifetime of experience to our finished designs with his beautiful, hand-rendering of each landscape plan. Working closely with Colin he also produces hand-sketched 3d views of each project in their preliminary phase.

The building qualifications and experience of Tom and his team are applied to many of our projects that require structural experience. Tom’s team are responsible for most of our constructed landscape elements such as pergolas, cabanas, decks and pool surrounds.

On our sites Dave runs his own construction team drawing upon his many years of experience as a structural landscaper. Having worked with Costata for over ten years he maintains the workmanship quality and level of communication that Costata values.

Brett brings a lifetime of experience in Earthmoving and Excavation to all of our projects large and small. His expertise and deft touch at the controls of excavators, posi track machines and trucks makes him an indispensable member of our close knit team.
